I am the original creator of the Free RPG Habits Tracker, and while many have taken it and resold it under different names, we have taken them down. However, we strongly advise you to use this template for personal use only. If you see someone selling this, know that it was originally provided for free!
Why I Built This Template
I designed the RPG Habits Tracker specifically for people who struggle with self-discipline.
If you already have strong discipline, this template might not be for you.
But if you find it hard to stay consistent with good habits and battle against bad ones, then this gamified system will make habit tracking more exciting, and help you finally win the war against bad habits.
This tracker transforms your habit journey into an RPG game, where you earn XP for completing good habits and lose XP when giving in to bad ones.
Once you accumulate enough XP, you can buy rewards to celebrate your progress.
With this system, self-improvement becomes a fun and engaging challenge rather than a boring routine.
How to Use the RPG Habits Tracker
1. Set Your Character
The template already includes a built-in character.
All you need to do is upload an image that looks like you.
You can use Bitmoji.com to create a character and select an avatar with a weapon or battle gear to match the RPG theme.
Don’t forget to choose your character’s name for full immersion.
2. Create Good Habits
You can use the built-in good habits or add your own:
Go to the Good Habit Template.
Create a new habit and give it a name.
Upload an icon for it (use Flaticon to generate one that fits your template color theme).
Set the XP value you want to earn when completing this habit daily.
3. Set Up Your Bad Habits
Just like good habits, bad habits need to be tracked, but instead of gaining XP, you will lose XP when you engage in them. Here’s how to set them up:
Go to the 'Bad Habit' template.
Create a new habit and name it appropriately.
Upload an icon or image representing the habit. Again, use Flaticon to keep the style consistent.
Set XP loss for this habit. This means that every time you engage in this bad habit, you will lose the assigned XP (make sure it's a negative value).
The idea is to make avoiding bad habits more rewarding by feeling the loss of XP—keeping you motivated to stay on track.
4. Set Up Rewards
Rewards are what make this system fun and engaging. You earn XP through good habits, but you spend XP to claim rewards for yourself. Here’s how to create them:
Go to the 'Rewards' template.
Create a new reward and give it a fun name.
Upload an image representing the reward. You can use icons, photos, or anything visually exciting.
Assign an XP cost—this is the amount of XP required to purchase the reward.
Examples of rewards:
Watch an episode of your favorite show (costs 50 XP).
Buy yourself a coffee (costs 100 XP).
Take a day off from work or studying (costs 500 XP).
This reward system keeps you motivated to stay consistent with your habits!
