I finally understand why I'm never satisfied

I finally understand why I'm never satisfied

I finally understand why I'm never satisfied

I finally understand why I'm never satisfied

Hey,

For months, I've been grinding relentlessly toward one goal: My first $10K month.

I tried everything—new strategies, longer hours, constant optimization.

But no matter what I did, I just couldn't reach it.

And honestly? I wasn't happy at all.

Here's the crazy part: While many of my friends are still in college studying, I've actually done pretty well for myself in just two years.

Built a business from scratch.

Generated consistent revenue.

Created something people actually value.

But I couldn't see any of that because I was obsessed with the number I hadn't hit yet.

Some days I felt grateful, other days I felt empty—like something essential was missing from my life, a puzzle piece I couldn't find.

Then I stumbled across a video that completely shifted my perspective.

This guy on Money Twitter was talking about his journey trying to hit $100K in a single day.

$100K. In. One. Day.

I'm over here stressed about $10K a month, and this guy is chasing $100K in 24 hours.

But here's what hit me—it's the exact same trap.

He lives in a $7 million mansion with incredible views, drives his dream cars, works with legends in his industry, and makes "an insane amount of money for his age."

Yet he's miserable.

Frustrated, angry, feeling like he's not enough.

He said something that stopped me cold: "3 years ago, if you told me I'd be here today, I would've been over the moon. But here I am—ungrateful, pessimistic, unsatisfied, unfulfilled, lost."

That was me.

Different numbers, same story.

He calls it the destination fallacy—this cognitive bias where we believe reaching a specific goal will bring us lasting happiness, but in reality, that happiness is fleeting.

We think: "If I just hit that number, buy that thing, reach that milestone—THEN I'll finally be at peace."

But we never are.

Every time we level up, new goals emerge immediately.

The finish line keeps moving, and we keep chasing, convinced the next achievement will be the one that finally makes us feel complete.

So I asked myself a hard question: What if I DO hit $10K next month—what actually changes?

I thought about previous goals I've achieved—a few hours of joy, maybe a day of celebration, then immediately setting the next target without even acknowledging what I accomplished.

The puzzle piece wouldn't appear.

The emptiness wouldn't vanish.

The "not enough" feeling wouldn't disappear.

Because here's what I've discovered about where real joy actually lives:

I find joy when I finish a great day of work and receive genuine feedback from people I've helped.

I find joy when I'm with my friends, completely escaping the pressure and just being present.

I find joy when I'm with my family, away from metrics and milestones.

I find joy when I'm traveling, meeting new people, experiencing new places.

I find joy when I'm praying with complete concentration, feeling connected to something bigger.

I find joy when I give, when I keep promises I made to myself, when I focus on the process I can control rather than the results I can't.

That's where happiness lives—not in the destination, but in the daily journey itself.

As this guy said in his video: "If you don't feel enough without the Porsche, without the 100K day, without the AP on your wrist—you won't feel enough with them either."

There is no finish line.

There's just right now.

There's just you showing up like this moment—this exact day you're living right now—is the time of your life.

Because it is.

And if you can actually fall in love with that—the grind, the goofy moments, the failures, the learning, the day-to-day process—you've already won.

Maybe the real success isn't the $10K month or the $100K day.

Maybe it's those rare moments when you're just here, grateful, content, and doing everything you can to enjoy this life.

I'm still ambitious—I still want that $10K month and everything beyond it.

But I've stopped expecting it to save me, to complete me, to finally make me feel like enough.

Because I'm already enough.

You're already enough.

Right now, with everything you've accomplished and everything you haven't yet.

If you're grinding right now thinking "One day I'll finally be happy when I just have this thing"—I want you to watch this video.

It's powerful, it's honest, and it might change your perspective like it changed mine.
