Hey,
So two habits that only take me 35 to 45 minutes a day but trust me they give you more than they take from your time.
You can do them whenever you have free time and you do have free time.
And you know exactly where it's going but that's not our subject today, straight to the point.
1. 30 minutes of podcast every day
Not a full podcast just 30 minutes.
I started this end of 2025 and I was doing full episodes but I found it hard to stay consistent because some are long, some are short, and some you actually need to focus with, you can't just play them in the background.
So I'd go hard for a few days then disappear for a week and the inconsistency killed it.
So instead I committed to 30 minutes a day where I actually sit and focus, and I barely missed a day in 2026.
And here is the thing, average podcast is about an hour and a half right? So you finish one every three days and that's 10 to 12 podcasts a month which is mad.
Every single day you hear something that shifts how you think and it stacks, by month's end you're genuinely not the same person.
If you already listen to podcasts but not consistently, this trick fills the gap.
2. One or two articles a day
Bro I was just wasting my time when I wasn't reading articles and subscribing to newsletters.
The amount of value you get in a good article without the fluff and you can read it in less than 5 minutes is just amazing, and most writers are straight to the point and give incredible insight.
I personally love James Clear, Dan Koe, and Chris Williamson also drops something solid every Monday morning, and there are many others.
And sure I don't always agree with what I read, same with podcasts, and that's the beauty of it because everyone's opinion is different.
Now combine all of that together, 30 minutes of podcast, 5 to 10 minutes of reading, with a few pages of your current book, and I don't think it's going to pass an hour.
And your day doesn't pass without you learning something real.
But here is what nobody talks about, those two habits fight the damage doom scrolling did to your brain.
They help you gain focus back, elevate your concentration, and build again the attention span that scrolling destroyed.
They take nothing from your time and they're so easy that's exactly why I barely skip them, so you really have no excuse.
