Hey,
I need to tell you something.
This is the moment.
Right now. This week. This month.
This is when most people quit.
Not in December when it is hard to start.
Not in January when the excitement is still fresh.
Now. February. When the motivation disappears and the results have not arrived yet.
Remember December?
You watched that video. Read that article. Saw that tweet.
Something clicked inside you.
2026 is my year.
I am going to crush it. New goals. New habits. New milestones. A big step toward the life I actually want.
Dopamine hit 300%.
You felt unstoppable.
You started planning. Writing goals. Building systems. Waking up early. Working hard. Believing.
And now?
The truth nobody wants to hear.
Studies show that 80% of people abandon their New Year's resolutions by the second week of February.
The second week.
That is not even a full month.
This month flew by. I barely felt it pass. And yet people expected to transform their entire lives in this time.
They thought they would see results by now.
They thought the hard part would be over.
They were wrong.
Two months is not for results.
Two months is for building.
It is the foundation. The boring part. The invisible part. The part where you show up every day and nothing looks different yet.
Your body looks the same.
Your bank account looks the same.
Your skills feel the same.
But underneath, everything is shifting.
You just cannot see it yet.
And because you cannot see it, you start to doubt.
Maybe this is not working.
Maybe I chose the wrong goal.
Maybe I am not cut out for this.
No.
The plan is not broken.
Your patience is.
I have watched people work for years.
Two years. Three years. Five years.
Grinding on the same vision. Showing up when it was hard. Pushing when nothing was happening.
And sometimes, they still fail.
I am not going to lie to you and say everyone who works hard succeeds.
Some fail.
But here is what separates them from the 80%.
They do not stop.
They fail. They adjust. They learn. They try again.
What they do not do is quit in February because the excitement wore off.
Your mood is a liar.
It will tell you to stop.
It will tell you this is not worth it.
It will tell you to take a break, just for today, just until you feel better.
And then one day becomes two. Two becomes a week. A week becomes a month.
And suddenly you are starting over in 2027 with the same goals you had in 2026.
Do not listen to your mood.
Listen to your plan.
Your mood changes with the weather.
Your plan knows where you are going.
This is the dip.
Every great achievement has a dip.
A moment where the initial excitement fades and the results have not arrived yet.
Most people quit in the dip.
They think the dip means something is wrong.
But the dip is not a sign to stop.
The dip is a test.
It is asking you: Do you actually want this? Or did you just like the idea of it?
If you push through the dip, you reach the other side.
And on the other side is everything you planned for.
But you have to survive February first.
One thing that saved me.
When motivation disappears, I do not wait for it to come back.
I stick to the plan.
Not to my mood. To the plan.
I adjust when needed. I simplify when it feels too heavy. I change my perspective and try to find something to enjoy in the process.
But I do not stop.
I also learned something else.
Your environment matters more than your willpower.
If you sit with people who quit, you will quit.
If you surround yourself with people who push through, who do not give up, who hold you accountable, you will push through too.
Find those people.
If you do not have them, go looking.
That is what I did.
And sometimes, when you commit to not giving up, they find you.
Here is what I know for sure.
February is a filter.
It separates the people who wanted to change from the people who actually will.
The 80% who quit will be back next January with the same goals.
The 20% who stay will be unrecognisable by December.
Which one are you?

P.S. — February is not the time to quit. It is the time to prove you meant it. Stick to the plan. The results are coming.
